When Traditions Bank experienced its first attack, STS recognized that faster alarms and better video weren’t enough. The industry needed a shift from response to prevention.

The STS Response

Instead of reacting, STS began studying patterns across multiple incidents. Commonalities emerged, and from those insights, the team engineered a preventive solution—technology designed to detect suspicious activity early and interrupt criminal behavior before damage could occur.

During a subsequent early-morning attempt at another Traditions Bank ATM, STS’s system activated before the criminals could breach the machine, forcing them to flee. The result:

  • Only minor cosmetic damage

  • No cash accessed

  • No extended downtime

Even when damage did occur in the original incident, STS’s response set a clear standard:

  • 8:30 AM: Incident reported

  • 11:00 AM: Replacement ATM configured

  • Same day: On-site removal and replacement

  • Within 24 hours: Full functionality restored
